I decided on a Montigo custom linear gas fireplace for my remodel. The lead time for the custom unit was about what they quoted, maybe a week longer, but not a big deal. Installation by my contractor went smoothly. The fireplace looks fantastic and the heat distribution is great. I also got a fireplace remote control, which is super convenient. The only slight issue was that one piece of the glass media arrived chipped, but the dealer replaced it quickly once I reported it. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the quality and performance of the unit, just had a minor hiccup with the media.
Nice fireplace, delivery could improve
I ordered a direct vent fireplace with a custom trim kit. The ordering process through the dealer was fine, and the fireplace itself is really nice, very modern looking. It heats up the space well. My only gripe was the delivery; it took 5 days to reach Denver and the tracking info wasn't always updated. Customer service was helpful when I called, but tracking could be more precise. Still, happy with the product.
